The Shadow Word: Dance Series.

If you haven't checked out this series of shadowpriest movies yet, you should do yourself a favor and do so! In particular, the second and third installments, are very enjoyable.

The shadowpriest in question is only L67, but he takes on L70s in world PvP clips. Now, his opponents are not the best but his editting skills are beyond reproach and he certainly knows what he is doing. He is the Tosan of Shadowpriests.

Dance also adds a lot of humor (via in-game text) to his movies. I found myself chuckling more than once. The music was all unknown to me and very catchy and upbeat.

There is absolutely no way I have the time and patience to edit a movie like this. According to Dance his third movie took 18 hours to render. Imagine your power going out 16 hours into that or something. No, thanks.

Personally, I'm just going to try to keep my movies cleanly editted and synced to the music. And, I'll go with content as my main focus. Unfortunately, people are more impressed by keen editting skills than content. But, such is life.

Once again. Treat yourself. :)

I was wondering whether I should download these movies (I hate streaming). Thanks for helping me make up my mind.

Those are very enjoyable, but the streams rob you of his unexpected (and sorta funny) comments.

I don't agree with putting 41 points or more in shadow for PvP though, imo 27/0/34 is stronger (getting spirit for more buffs to dispel and also -0.5s on mass dispel +some hit).

Depending on weakness I'd take two points from shadow, putting them into holy for 70% uninterruptable heals (works wonders against mages that cs your shadowschool).

Another good thing to learn for PvP is that in some situations you can ---click--- off your shadowform buff.

I'm happy with my build for 1v1s and BGs. But, I am thinking about doing a more balanced shadow/disc build for the arena. I'll likely be pairing with a disc/holy priest, BTW. So, he will be putting spirit buff up.

Then again, he might choose to go with warlock or mage. He can't make up his mind. :P

Anyway, for the arena, I see a great need for switching forms, as you said, and also a great need for improved manaburn. God, I hate that spell.

@Dropcut: Almost all) things that used to give a chance to resist silence effects now reduce the duration of silences instead.

A bit offtopic this but I (Niar) saw first now that you had made a blog about my response, well, it doesn't happen so often that people criticize my actual skill.. but a lot of people doesn't seem to understand my timing of CoS and all that.. there is very deep thoughts behind my choice of timing that people doesn't discover at the first glimpse. Anyhow as a general comment I am quite surely drawing back from moviemaking now, not really because I think that people wouldn't like what I make, but there's already so many others doing about same thing (and even with better editing, which I suck at).. so I will just be playing rated arenas from now on (which btw goes quite well, focusing mostly on 2on2). Only thing which COULD be possible is a 2on2 movie filmed from top games, but I'll have to see, my comp isn't too good so I need that FPS in serious games, and I'm not sure I want to reveal our way of playing :)

saw someone also claimed I had attacked some top US rogues.. what's with that? Never said a word about anyone but ming, and he sucks like we all know, no idea where he got this thing about him being good from.

(Funny that he claims that opponents are impossible just because he can't beat them too.. give that work to a rogue that knows how to play for the right analyze next time)

Hey,

I think most agree with you on movies. It's just all been done.

As far as the 2v2s, I can understand you not wanting to give away your tactics against the different class matchups.

Best of luck with your team this season.

Speaking of editting, I really want to edit the fuck out of a video but I can never grasp in my mind how I want to make it happen. I can imagine the look and feel how I want it to turn out, something epic, like 300, but editting through a video game is very limited. I can't get character actions or movements that I'm thinking, even with WoW Model Viewer.

I've had ideas and tried to make it but its not how I pictured it. And on the thought of rendering, mine took about 3-4 hours - 16, eh I'd be willing to wait if the editting was incredible.
